#10Things · I Saw Post Malone!

The first thing on my 20 Things to Do in 2020 list was ticked off!
I saw Post Malone in concert on February 11th and it was magic.

For years, I didn't listen to Post Malone. I didn't have an opinion on Post Malone. I knew his songs that played on the radio and that was it.

Until one night, I had a dream that we were in his sketch one-bedroom apartment that was around the block from the Grammys. He told me I needed to get ready because we had to go and I was his date. When I woke up, I decided to check out his music and Hollywood's Bleeding had just been released.

When I tell you I fell in love with an album fast, I mean I didn't stop listening to it. I was in the top 1% of Posty listeners on Spotify. I have two of his tee-shirts, an air freshener, and a hair scrunchie. I went back and discovered his two other album, but HB holds a sweet spot in my heart and when I found out the tour was coming, I needed to score tickets.

All of these photos were taken on my phone because I don't know what venues are finicky about bringing in cameras. I also have videos that don't properly load into this window, but they will be available on YouTube as soon as I get to it. :)

Post played a really good mix of music from each album, even though it was the Hollywood's Bleeding tour. I have only seen solo performers a handful of times and most of them (Lorde, Ariana Grande, etc.) have background dancers to enhance the show. Post performed entirely solo, until Sunflower with Swae Lee, and he puts on such a large, beautiful performance that the space never felt empty. He's accompanied by two large screens that project him, which aided in filling the pace.

I wanted to include my Spotify playlist of songs he played on tour that is also, to my memory, in order that he played them. This is a habit I would like to keep up with because I go to so many live shows and it would serve as a nice keepsake.

This also officially marks the first thing off of my #20Things list. After reviewing it in the current state of things, I've considered making some edits, but we'll see how the year goes.

Stay safe, everyone. <3
