Coffee Talks: Monday Mornings (+ a little life update)

It's been a while since we've done a coffee talk- since I've been on here in general.

The truth is, I've been really busy working (two jobs + earring making), spending some time unplugged, being my mom's maid of honor, and trying to figure out what's next for me.

One thing is for sure, I missed being on here. In the times I would take photos, I'd mentally log them into blog posts which is why I've decided to partake in Blogmas this year. One of the reasons I haven't been active on here is because I haven't been thrilled with my blog. I didn't like the layout, or the color scheme, I didn't think it accurately reflected me and that's the purpose of this site. I am currently working on it to get it up to it's full potential and I could not be more excited for what's to come and my future on here.

Blogmas is right around the corner and I'm looking forward to that getting me back into the blogging universe. I've got a lot to share with you all including a cross-country train ride, an Etsy shop, and some concert photos to catch you up on.

Today is Monday, November 22nd and I have been dreading Mondays in general because my weeks are so busy. I work from home (permanently now!) Monday-Friday from 8-4, then spend three nights a week at my second job (typically from 5-9:30.) There has been very little downtime and it's likely to get more sparse with the holidays, but I'm relishing in any pockets of relaxation I can get.

That downtime is spent crafting, writing, watching movies, or finding something to fill it because I don't know how to not be busy, which has been the worst switch my brain could have flipped. I started making earrings a few months ago, and that's been occupying my time. It's something that I love doing because it keeps my hands busy, and it's also something I've been making a little extra money doing which is a good balance. More about that to come, especially with the holidays right around the corner.

I'm living on my own, which is exciting. My mom got marries (also exciting!) and moved in with her husband. I'm in the house that we were in together, but it's just me and my cat. I have to figure out a living situation for next year and honestly I can't make up my mind yet on where I want to go/what I want (not to mention the housing market is disgusting right now.) More on that to come as the time gets closer.

In July I made the decision to start seeing a weight loss doctor and it's been very useful for me and helping me get some extra weight off and get into better shape than I have been in. I want to do a post about that sometime in December and talk about my relationship with my weight and my weight loss. But, it's been a great choice for me personally and it's made a big difference in me.

For those of you that have been around for a while, you might remember I used to post about baby steps still being steps. That helped me through a lot of parts of my timeline where I felt I was falling behind. Today I bring to you a similar idea that we can take things one day at a time and any small step gets us closer to where we want to be. Something I have been dwelling on lately is being patient with results because they aren't going to come right away and they aren't going to come without work. Any amount of work is better than no work and it took me a while to realize this and settle into this mindset because it's easy to feel like we're not putting forth enough when we are doing as much as we can.

I'll see you all for 25 days straight starting next Wednesday!
